ABOUT FARMERS EQUIPMENT COMPANY
|HAVE QUESTIONS? CONTACT US|
Farmers Equipment Company was established in Lynden, Washington on April 25, 1935 as a partnership between, Simon L. Stremler and local businessman and entrepreneur, E.J. “Ed” Frith. In The course of 80 years, the company has employed hundreds of people and served thousands of customers, most of them farmers. We are proud of our heritage and the role that we have played in helping to shape this community in which we live.
Over the years Farmers Equipment Company has grown to become a leader in sales and support of agricultural, berry, material handling and construction machinery for Northwest Washington and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. To better serve our customers in the Skagit Valley, we added our Burlington Washington branch in 1982.
From the beginning, our mission has been to meet our customers’ requirements for quality machinery, parts and service the first time, every time, in a manner that contributes to the success of our customers and our company. When the business started in 1935, we became a dealer for McCormick-Deering, a division of International Harvester. Gradually, we came to stock all of International Harvester’s agricultural lines, including Farmall tractors. With the merger of Case and International Harvester in 1985, we became the Case IH dealer for Northwest Washington.
As our economy has become more diverse, we have altered our product mix to meet the needs of our customers. That’s why in addition to Case IH we are the dealer for Komatsu forklifts, Oxbo berry harvesters, Branson Tractors, Bauer Irrigation equipment and Kobelco construction equipment. We also represent a number of very fine shortlines like Kuhn, Kuhn Knight, Krone, Maschio, Brillion, Wil-Rich and J&M Manufacturing.
