A variety of company-paid benefits are offered to you as an employee of FEC. The following sections highlight what we have available for you. If you join us, your specific eligibility and additional plan details will be discussed with you during your orientation process. We are pleased to offer many pro-rated benefits for part-time employees, too!
Paid Time Away
You need time to recharge, so employees are offered paid time off to relax, vacation, explore, or whatever you like to do that isn’t work! We observe nine paid holidays each year, and our hourly employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Exempt employees may take up to six paid sick days per calendar year.
100% of your health insurance premiums are paid by FEC for a high-deductible HMO Plan that includes prescription benefits. We also pay 100% of employee dental insurance premiums. Lower deductible plans are also available for purchase. If you participate in our base level medical plan, a monthly contribution of $83.33 is made to your FEC Health Savings Account. You can also contribute additional funds to the HSA account through payroll deduction, up to the annual IRS limit.
You receive a $20,000 fully funded group life insurance benefit as an eligible employee. You can also purchase additional life insurance for yourself, your spouse, and your dependents. Accidental Death & Dismemberment along with Long-Term Disability insurance are also available to purchase.
Employee Assistance Program
You and your immediate household family members have access to free short-term counseling and referrals for a wide variety of problems. This confidential benefit is offered at no cost and is available 24/7 with eligibility.
401(k) Savings Plan
To help you plan for the future, we offer a 401(k) Plan. Our plan offers you the option to build our nest egg on a pre-tax or after-tax basis with several great investment options available. After one year, you will become eligible to participate in the plan. We match 100% of your deferred funds up to 3%.
