Farmers Equipment Company is a full-line dealership of Komatsu and Genie material handling equipment with locations in both Lynden and Burlington. We currently have an opening for a Service Technician at our Lynden location.

Primary responsibilities include preventive maintenance and repair of equipment in our Material Handling Division.

Minimum requirements include: strong mechanical aptitude, previous applicable experience, competency in computer-based troubleshooting, repair of engines, electronic fuel systems, transmissions, hydraulics and brakes, ability to work effectively both individually and with a team of technicians, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Additional requirements include a clear driving record, proven dependability, experience in supporting a service department, outstanding customer service skills and strong detail orientation. No prior material handling experience required.

* Previous experience in supporting a service department

* Serving both external and internal customers at the parts counter and by phone
* Researching customer requests for items in manual parts catalogs and electronically
* Ordering parts, invoicing customers, coordinating shipment of parts
* Processing credits, returns and receiving stock orders
* Maintaining stock levels of product lines and pricing of parts as assigned
* Other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven customer service skills

* Directly applicable experience preferred
* Ability to successfully operate computer; previous experience with DIS/Keystone system preferred

We currently have an opening for a Berry Harvester Technician to serve customers out of our Lynden location and British Columbia.

Primary responsibilities include:

* Perform general repairs on OXBO berry harvesters, including computer-based troubleshooting of engines, electronic fuels systems, electrical and hydraulics, and other general agricultural equipment systems.
* Perform pre-delivery of new harvesters as they arrive on the lot from the factory
* Complete all required paperwork including repair orders, pre-delivery reports, and appraisal
* Communicate with Parts Department on ordering necessary parts
* Effectively communicate with Service Staff when questions arise on repair orders and scheduling of work
* Maintain clean work area in shop and on grounds

Job Requirements:

* High school diploma equivalent
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Minimum one year applicable experience or training
* Ability to navigate windows-based diagnostic computer system
* Strong detail-orientation
* Valid driver's license and clear driving record; CDL an asset
* Current Passport with ability to travel into Canada
* Ability to work weekends during harvest season
* Excellent communication skills

We currently have an opening for a Temporary Yard Assistant to work full time through the summer at our Burlington location, supporting our Sales, Service and Parts Departments.

Primary responsibilities include:
� Maintain the yard, warehouses, and other designated spaces in an orderly manner
� Support the shop by maintaining a clean and organized environment including emptying waste and recycling receptacles
� Maintain adequate supply of fuel containers
� Process Equipment Rental Returns including cleaning and coordinating preventive maintenance
� Perform cleaning and detailing of equipment
� Keep all wash bays clean and free of debris
� Assist Sales Department in moving and organizing equipment as needed
� Coordinate maintenance of grounds
� Assist with shipping and receiving duties

The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting a service department, outstanding customer service and communication skills, the ability to effectively multi-task, strong detail orientation, clear driving record with valid WA driver�s license, and proven dependability.

This is a temporary summertime position, expected to last up to 14 weeks.
