The widest rotary tedder on the market is the commercial Kuhn GF 17012 GII rotary tedder. It combines exceptional hay harvesting with minimized drying time. This enables fast, even drying of the entire field and makes the beast of weather windows when the crop is at the optimal stage – the ideal insurance to produce high-quality forage. These tedders are designed for both contractors and large acreage hay producers. The large units ensure the highest productivity in the field, with working widths of 42'8" and 56'5" respectively, allowing tedding rates up to 40 acres per hour.
These large tedders provide exceptional tedding quality, resulting in a crop that is fully tedded over the entire width and is efficiently and uniformly spread to maximize drying. Reduced drying times result in higher quality and nutritional value in hay and haylage. Each of the rotor gearboxes is sealed and lubed for life and is driven by Kuhn’s patented Digidrive system, reducing maintenance. Despite the tedder's dimensions at work, this machine is incredibly compact in transport. It's 7'10" transport width is a considerable asset when accessing the narrowest fields and also provides safety and comfort during over-the-road travel.
