Kuhn Multi-Master 153 T - 5 body plows have been designed to meet the same demands as the Kuhn 123 plows, but for more intensive use in more difficult field conditions with higher horsepower tractors. The 153 plows are available from 3 – 5 bottoms in Multi-Master and Vari-Master in either traction-bolt or non-stop hydraulic. The strength, simplicity and different options available make this plow fully adaptable to your needs. Benefit from a number of improved features including reinforced box sections, rapid adjustment of furrow widths and superior protection systems. The Master 153 plows also come with a wide variety of moldboard and trash burial options. Adjustments of working width, skimmers and tractor inter-tire distances are quick and easy with this versatile machine.

Plow Leg Protection Options

●  Traction-Bolt Security
●  Non-Stop Hydraulic Reset

The Master Series allows you to customize your plow leg protection to best suit your working conditions with either traction-bolt security or non-stop hydraulic reset. A clean break of the traction bolt, following a force of 5,280 – 8,820 pounds at the plow point, avoids the risk of nuisance shearing. With the non-stop hydraulic reset, a rapid breakaway of the plow leg occurs when a field obstacle is met. Once the obstacle is passed there is an increase in pressure, bringing the body quickly and firmly back into working position. The system also acts as a shock absorber in rocky ground, increasing plow life.

Moldboards are made of unequal layer, heat-treated Triplex® steel that have an increased working life up to 40% and a hard wearing surface over 1/8” thick. Forged with a force of 6,000 tons ensuring excellent wear resistance and self-sharpening profile due to the grain in the steel resulting from the forging process. Depending on the soil type, Kuhn offers three different types of moldboards. The H4 moldboard is recommended for fall plowing, as it is suited for heavy and damp clays. The N moldboard is recommended for spring plowing because it is versatile and works well in sandy or clay soils. The VP slatted moldboard is designed for use in extremely sticky muck and clay soils, but is not for us in soils with rocks or stones.

Main Beam

The main beam is supported by a side-mounted triangular reinforcement welded along the length of the front section. This strengthens the beam in this high-stress area and gives substantial advantages when compared to a conventional plow design.
