The new VSL 200 Series mixers feature a low-profile design for quick and easy loading. Redesigned augers provide quicker mixing and processing with more complete cleanout. An optional 2-speed gearbox with an electric shift upgrade reduces necessary horsepower without losing machine performance. Multiple discharge options offer increased versatility and a variety of rugged conveyor choices are available to match most feeding situations.
New Auger Design
The new cone-shaped, single-auger design with a steeper sloped top, new generation scraper and bolt-on kicker provide superior feed movement for faster, more complete mixing and processing, and improved cleanoff.
Heavy-Duty Front, Side and Rear Doors
VSL 200 Series mixers feature heavily reinforced doors for tight closure and long service life. The hydraulically activated door linkage reduces the overall height of the mixer to allow clearance in barns with rafter/door limitations. It also allows for faster unloading as a result of a higher door opening height than would be possible with straight pulled doors.
Simple, Planetary Drive System
The simple planetary drive has very few moving parts and is specifically designed to provide long life and reliability under heavy-duty use and in the most difficult mixing conditions. The planetary gearbox is protected by a shear bolt from overload and torque spikes caused by foreign obstructions. The flooded top bearing eliminates the need for extra grease zerks. This proven and rugged drive system, coupled with an external oil reservoir, is virtually maintenance free with the exception of scheduled gear lube changes.
Two-Speed Gearbox
A shiftable, 2-speed gearbox option allows for reduced input horsepower and auger speed for easier starting and mixing, even with smaller tractors. The gearbox can by shifted manually on the machine or with an in-cab electric shift option for operator convenience.
Heavy-Duty Front Conveyor
Heavy front cross conveyor uses rugged components for unmatched dependability and longer life. Different conveyor options and extension lengths allow the mixer to be adapted to match most feeding situations.
